Exhibition of Calligraphy and Paintings by Chinese and French Masters Opened at NMC

On August 5, 2014, the Exhibition of Calligraphy and Paintings by Chinese and French Masters to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of Sino-French diplomatic ties was opened at the National Museum of China (NMC). Those present at the opening ceremony included He Jiaying, Vice Chairman of China Artists Association, Ludovic Emanuely, President of the European Chamber of International Business (France), Wang Xinsheng, a world-renowned artist and others.

The exhibition was jointly organized by the China Culture Management Association, China Social Assistance Foundation, Economic Information, China Power Media Group Co., Ltd., and China-France Association for Culture Exchanges, and gathers more than 40 pieces of works from over 30 Chinese and French calligraphers and painters such as Wang Xinsheng, He Jiaying, Yao Zhihua, Annie Dion, Jean-Francois Favre and Denis Ribas. In this exhibition, visitors can compare the art of painting of the two countries, appreciate the magic power of art, and experience the unremitting exploration for humanistic spirits embodied from the Chinese and French people. Besides, the exhibition, which will last to August 16, is also expected to enhance the non-governmental exchanges, friendship, and cultural development of the two countries.
